Brendan Benson Teams With Ashley Monroe
While Brendan Benson is still on the road in support of his latest solo effort, My Old, Familiar Friend, the sometime Ractonteurs co-frontman has sprouted up in a new web session with country singer Ashley Monroe.
"Brendan and I have recorded fourteen songs,” Monroe said of her collaboration with Benson, whom she met in 2008 when she teamed up with Ricky Skaggs to join the Raconteurs on a country-styled version of the band's, "Old Enough."
A number of the songs have been available on MySpace, but video has now surfaced of Benson and Monroe's recent Lake Fever sessions, in which the duo exhibit great chemistry and are able to show off their strong vocal harmonies.
